BIRTH IS SACRED
I believe pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are more than physical experiences—they are sacred transitions that deserve intention, support, and care.
Throughout history, communities have gathered around expectant mothers with encouragement, nourishment, blessings, and practical support. While every family’s journey is unique, I honor this tradition by creating space for reflection, connection, education, and meaningful preparation throughout the childbearing year.
For families who desire it, I may incorporate optional rituals, ceremonies, and moments of intentional reflection that celebrate the transition into parenthood and honor the journey unfolding ahead.
MY JOURNEY
I am Isis Fuller, the heart behind On My Throne. Before I became a certified doula, I was a woman navigating my own pregnancies, births, and transition into motherhood. These experiences ultimately shape the philosophy behind my practice. My journey into doula work began long before my certification trainings.
My own experiences with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum introduced me to a different way of thinking about birth—one rooted in trust, preparation, education, and support. I was surrounded by people who encouraged me to ask questions, learn my options, trust my instincts, and believe in the wisdom of my body.
Those experiences challenged many of the messages I had previously heard about birth and helped me see it not as something to fear, but as a powerful life transition worthy of respect, preparation, and support.
As I navigated my own pregnancies and births, I experienced firsthand the value of having people in my corner who were focused on education, encouragement, and empowerment. Their influence continues to shape the way I support families today.
Those experiences eventually led me to become a doula and create On My Throne—a practice rooted in the belief that families deserve evidence-informed education, compassionate support, and the opportunity to approach birth with confidence rather than fear.
MY APPROACH
I serve as a protector, motivator, educator, and advocate for safe, informed, and empowered care.
My role is not to make decisions for you. My role is to help you understand your options, trust your instincts, and feel supported as you make the decisions that are best for you and your family.
Whether your birth includes an unmedicated labor, an epidural, an induction, a planned cesarean, or an unexpected change in plans, you deserve compassionate support, evidence-informed education, and a steady presence throughout the journey. I believe every family deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and supported.
Today, I support families from a place of deep respect for the birth process and a belief that every family deserves to feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. While every journey is unique, my goal is always the same: to help families replace fear with understanding, uncertainty with preparation, and doubt with confidence.
A FINAL THOUGHT
You already have everything you need.
The wisdom. The strength. The power.
My role is simply to help you remember.
